Spotify Rolls Out Audiobooks Access Tier Subscriptions

Spotify adds another subscription offer to its users with the new Audiobooks Access Tier -- this is currently only available in the US market. The plan has less to do with music and more with audiobook content as it offers 15 hours of listening at a monthly rate of only $10.

They'll be able to access the entire library of over 200,000 titles and can still listen to the music on the platform with ad support through the free tier. This is a specific market as audiobooks often lie between seven to 11 hours of listening for those who do. Spotify also notes that since it offered 15 hours of audiobook listening to Premium subscribers back in November, there has been a 45% increase in activity.
