Spotify has just announced a new audiobook publishing program that comes as part of the streaming service's expansion within the audiobooks space. The program will focus on the work of independent authors to help them get their work out there in a big way and will see the brand handling both the production and distribution of the title. The brand will then pay authors an advance and royalties into the future to make it great option for authors to take advantage of if they are free agents.

The Spotify audiobook publishing program for independent authors isn't applicable for works of erotic or child-focused content, and is currently applicable for novelettes that range in length from 10,000 to 20,000 words in English.
