Sazerac agreed to acquire U.K.-based Au Vodka, a ready-to-drink cocktail and flavored vodka brand, further expanding its RTD portfolio and U.K. presence. The transaction, announced for an undisclosed amount, is expected to close in the coming weeks and adds one of the U.K.’s top-selling canned vodka brands to Sazerac’s portfolio.
Founded in 2015, Au Vodka is known for its distinctive gold packaging and fruit-forward flavors including red cherry, blue raspberry and peach. The brand entered the U.S. in 2022 and is currently available online in 35 states and in stores in eight, giving Sazerac an established platform for potential further expansion.
For consumers, the deal could broaden Au Vodka's availability while giving Sazerac a stronger position in the growing RTD cocktail category. The acquisition also continues Sazerac’s recent focus on expanding its portfolio through RTD-focused investments and brand development.
