The Qatar Assistive Technology Center Boasts the Mada Innovation Award

— August 10, 2025 — Social Good
The Qatar Assistive Technology Center (Mada) has launched the 2025 Mada Innovation Award. This venture stands as a pioneering initiative designed to advance digital accessibility and assistive technology solutions for persons with disabilities and elderly populations across the Arab region.

With financial backing from Qatar’s Social and Sport Contribution Fund (Daam), the program seeks to cultivate AI-driven innovations through three funding tiers — Emerging, Promising, and Rising Innovations. Each tier is tailored to different development stages of assistive technology projects. The 2025 Mada Innovation Award also features two distinct tracks — the Direct Grant Track, which supports early-to-mature innovations in assistive technology, and the Localization Track, which facilitates the adaptation of existing international solutions for Arabic-speaking users.

The selection process includes rigorous evaluation by an expert panel, mentorship for shortlisted candidates, and a final pitch competition, with winners receiving financial grants and technical support to refine their solutions for real-world implementation.
