The Artu Lamp by Carlo Tamborini Looks Like Part of a Circus Act

To me, the Artu Lamp looks like it belongs in a circus or street performer act. It looks as though someone left a dish balancing act midway through his or her performance, and the dishes magically stayed in place -- and emitted lights.

This magician (a.k.a. designer) goes by the name of Carlo Tamborini. Designed for ModoLuce, the Artu Lamp is available in a slew of colors, including white, black, periwinkle blue and sandy. It also comes in various versions such as a table lamp, floor lamp or pendent lamp option.

Although it features a rather minimalist design, the Artu Lamp is nevertheless fun and playful. Its zigzag form would create an interesting focal point in any room.
