SK-II is launching the first SK-II Artist Series stores in Japan, inviting consumers to see the brand's hero ingredient reinterpreted through the eyes of artists. SK-II's Artist Series ("Art-X") stores are designed to offer a unique perspective on Pitera, the miracle ingredient that got its start in a humble sake brewery.
The Matsumoto Kiyoshi, Ikebukuro flagship outlet in Tokyo shows off a design that was influenced by manga and offers a unique way for consumers to immerse themselves in the brand and shop its range of innovative skincare products. The SK-II Artist Series Flagship Store is set to open in early December, while the SK-II Artist Series: Power of Pitera has kicked off in November.
As part of its work with artists, SK-II is inviting artists around the world to reinterpret the story of Pitera through collage, sculpture, painting, photography and even modern dance.
