This Light Installation by Artist Liz West is a Sensory Experience
Rebecca Byers — February 20, 2015 — Art & Design
Artist Liz West uses color and light to create unique, immersive experiences that transform large spaces with gradient colors. The latest in a series of installations that make prominent use of T8 fluorescent bulbs and architectural space, 'Your Color Perception' is a stunning prismatic rainbow that you can walk through.
'Your Color Perception' and other works by artist Liz West incorporate the extended periods of darkness during winter months by showing the exhibit during this time, making the lights and by extension the entire installation bleed with more saturation, heightening the overall experience.
The 'Your Color Perception' installation, which takes over 5,000 square feet, is currently installed at Castlefield Gallery’s New Art Spaces Federation House in Manchester.
