This tall reflective dome has been approved to be built as Rotterdam's new art archive and gallery space. The spherical structure will be a resource that will hold an abundance of the city's art pieces. Works will adorn the walls from the lobby all the way to the rooftop garden.
A designated route for visitors will be created that forces them to zigzag through the building, passing through art depots and restoration workshops along the way. Moveable storage racks will allow for the displays to be constantly changing, creating a new experience each time someone visits. As an art archive, there will also be a section inaccessible to the public. Art proprietors will be able to view their pieces in private spaces.
