Nintendo recently released its newest console, the hybrid mobile and at-home platform called 'Switch,' and the famous Japanese game company has released the Arms game specifically for that system. The game is the first major Switch title with a completely new concept: a cartoonish stable of brand new characters show down in boxing-style fighting matches that take advantage of the Switch's unique controllers.
Nintendo is no stranger to fantastical fighting games. Super Smash Bros. was one of the most popular games on the Nintendo 64, and the Arms game hopes to follow in that franchise's footsteps. The game takes place in several three-dimensional arenas, and characters use extending arms (activated by the Switch controllers) to take shots at one another and perform special moves.
