Armchair Quick does have a back, but it would not be a stretch to consider it as a class of stool as well. The bulk of the furnishing is in the cubic base that provides height and a cushioned surface for a comfortable seated posture.
When it comes to the supplementary support structure of Maxim Maximov's creation, this has been made from tubular metal. It wraps around the bottom of the box, forms a pair of armrests and a backrest that's vertically aligned with the rear. What this means is that there's no reclining into the Armchair Quick; rather, the sitter would best maintain an upright position with this spine, even if he should lean on the back bar's padding. The designer describes this piece of furniture as ideal for those busy folks who cannot sit still.
