Foam-Made Angular Armchairs

Mass Pressure is an Armchair by Horm Made with Foam Rubber

Horm, an Italian furniture company, launched a new armchair called Mass Pressure. The armchair was designed in collaboration with award-winning designer Dror Benshetrit. It is informed by architecture and includes angular corners and unlikely curves.

While the undulating armchair appears pointed and sharp, it is made from one cubic meter of foam rubber, making for a plush feel. The foam rubber used to create Mass Pressure was shaped into a functional object using a painted, tubular metal frame. Mass Pressure features an eye-catching expression made with Horm's Novacolor technology. Novacolor is a decorative treatment typically used for floors and walls. Horm and Dror Benshetrit decided to use the treatment to give the armchair its concrete-like appearance.
