DoorDash launched a new sponsorship that lets users experience AR restaurants, through lenses on the Snapchat platform. The list of AR restaurants includes Baskin Robbins, Buffalo wild Wings, Cheesecake Factory, Chili’s, and Outback Steakhouse.
There are different lenses for users to select, and they can take pictures of themselves in one of the AR restaurants using the front-facing camera. The rear-facing camera allows them to explore the virtual restaurant. The victual lenses also provide a way for users to download the DoorDash app through Snapchat.
Overall the virtual content allows users to still engage with the restaurants they are familiar with, which can keep customers engaged during a time when they can not physically visit a restaurant.
