Many brands are experimenting with augmented reality experiences and mobile shopping services but South Korea's largest telecommunications company, KT Corp., recently launched an AR Market that brings the two together.
The AR Market is being touted as the "the country's first-ever mobile shopping service paired with AR technology" and it makes the experience of using one's smartphone or tablet to shop much more like browsing products in a physical store. With the new service, consumers are able to view augmented reality videos in 360 degrees.
For the summer, KT recently kicked off a month-long glamping event that will help to connect consumers to a variety of luxury camping products. As many camping essentials are designed to be neatly folded up and consume a considerable amount of valuable store space when displayed, this augmented reality solution offers a new way for consumers to experience a myriad of products.
