The Aquarium Gleneagles Glass Stairs shows just how much of an impact a sculptural staircase can have within a space. In this case, these stairs seem to be the main attraction as it circles a long, tubular aquarium. Since the actual stairs are made out of the same glass that encases the underwater wonders right next to it, there doesn't appear to be an end of beginning to each.
Created by Diapo, a London-based staircase fabricator, the Aquarium Gleneagles Glass Stairs has a cantilevered, helical look that also sets it apart from other sculptural staircases. A lesson in rural tranquillity, this aquarium and staircase is actually the centerpiece of a home, not a museum, gallery or other similar public space that it looks to be at first glance.
