Unilever recently launched a natural, premium haircare and skincare line called ApotheCARE Essentials that emphasizes affordability and the use of age-old ingredients to tackle a variety of issues.
Some of the items in the new line include The Mender Shampoo and Conditioner, powered by coconut milk, white jasmine and Vitamin E, as well as a vanilla, argan oil and sweet almond body wash called The Nourisher.
The apothecary-inspired packaging for ApotheCARE Essentials reminds of products from Aesop that are beloved for their aesthetic, along with labels that feature the base and fragrance ingredients used in the formulas inside a test tube filled with water—to emphasize the fusion of nature and technology that the products provide. The target consumer of ApotheCARE Essentials is described as a woman who "has a reverence for technology and understands it has a role to play along with nature."
