It’s hard to tell how effective anti-smoking campaigns are as you always see people lighting up even with a diseased lung displayed front and centre on the pack. Apparently last year cigarette smoking INCREASED, though some argue that was an outcome of the recession.
Pentagram marketing firm has come up with a hopefully very effective anti-smoking campaign where the warning now covers the entire packaging and will be in black and white (provided that US Senate passes new legislation on cigarette packaging).
Hopefully this new anti-smoking campaign will finally feed our craving for more truthful cigarette marketing.
