The conceptual 'Another Toaster' appliance has been designed by Yu-Hsiang Lin as a customizable solution for consumers to use in the kitchen for optimized morning meals. Drawing inspiration from a vinyl turntable, the appliance works by having a piece of bread placed on the preparation surface before positioning the heating arm to toast it. This allows chefs to customize the preparation to their exact specifications instead of trying to make adjustments with traditional toasters, which can prove impossible.
The conceptual 'Another Toaster' appliance also allows users to keep a closer eye on the functionality thanks to its open-air design. This will prevent users from overcooking bread, while also helping them conserve energy by only applying the amount of heat that's required.
