Travel Oregon's animated travel ads capture the magic of Studio Ghibli films with bright colors, memorable characters and detailed landscapes. Scenes from the state are illustrated with watercolor skies and the diverse people, place and activities are highlighted in the hopes of attracting tourists after a challenging few years for the travel industry as a whole.
Megan Riehl, account supervisor at advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy, says "In year one, we focused on the landscapes. In year two we shifted to activities. We really wanted to bring in people this year." This iteration of the campaign brings the state's people, customs and traditions to life in a way that continues the story of 'Oregon, Only Slightly Exaggerated.'
