With smart speakers and voice-activated appliances, consumers have invited Amazon Alexa into the home to help streamline a variety of tasks with voice commands—and now, the Amazon Echo Loop is being introduced to help people take Amazon Alexa anywhere. The Alexa-enabled smart ring has two microphones that can be activated with a tap, plus the smallest speakers to ever be seen on an Echo device. The wearable device vibrates to alert the wearer of an incoming notification or call.
Like a smartwatch, the Amazon Echo Loop is paired to a phone for on-the-go use and makes it easy to handle a variety of tasks like adding items to a to-do list, placing phone calls and much more.
To start, the Amazon Echo Loop will only be sold as part of an invite-only program and Amazon has created a free kit that helps people determine the best size of the ring before they buy.
