The 'All Terrain Banner' Shifts While You Rotate Your Tablet

— June 11, 2013 — Marketing
Using your tablet's auto-rotate technology, ad agency BBDO Belgium teamed up with online ad firm Adhese to create the 'All Terrain Banner.' The online ad was specially built to showcase the Mercedes G-Class's rugged all-terrain features.

After detecting that a user is using their tablet, the All Terrain Banner shows a Mercedes driving on rough terrain. It then asks the user to rotate their tablet by 90 degrees in a certain direction. Upon rotating the tablet, the text rotates but the Mercedes continues to drive in the same direction.

Along with the striking visual of a car driving vertically upwards is the text "Conquers the steepest slopes." The banner links to a page that immediately allows the user to book a test drive.
