I have been at loss many times when it comes to doing gangster signs or understanding thug terms. 'Cultura Urbana' by Alex Trochut embraces this popular subculture by creating a collage of chains, bling and phrases.

Through this art work, Alex Trochut tries to show the connection between the hip hop culture and extravagant designers. Check out the gallery above to see the work of this extreme design junkie.

Implications - Though subcultures are niche and may be limited in potential consumer numbers, the people within these subcultures often have a strong devotion to these mini-communities. Affiliating certain products with particular subcultures through use of representative imagery will grant corporations dedicated and long-standing customer relations with these small, but loyal groups.
