'Airfordable' Pre-Buys Tickets and Lets Users Pay Over Time

Increasingly, Millennials are looking to apply their spending power to experiences like travel rather than physical goods, yet travel is expensive without the help of a budgeting service like 'Airfordable.' The service allows users to submit desired airline tickets and pay for those tickets over time (rather than all at once, which would be the case if the user were paying on their own.)

The process is simple: users find a ticket for their desired trip online, take a screenshot, and submit that image to the service. Airfordable then pays for the ticket up front, thus ensuring that the seat won't be lost. With the ticket in hand, Airfordable then lets users design their payment plan, with a maximum duration of three months. Note, however, that Airfordable charges a somewhat hefty fee of between 10 and 20 percent of the ticket's face value.
