Jaime Hayon's Jet Set

With its ultra sleek shape laden in silver mosaic 'Bisazza' tiles, Jet Set is an installation recently shown at the Milan '08 design show, is candy for the eyes.

Spanish designer Jaime Hayon says he, “Loved the idea of having the opportunity to create a humorous and more sophisticated version of such a serious and functional object: a plane."

However this plane will not be seeing a runway any time soon; this bird is made for lounging. Tucked inside the cup shape on the top of the plane's body is a white leather circular couch.

Jaime muses, "I can imagine this object flying out a couple of lovers drinking champagne to deliver energy and good vibes across their journey."

I think it would great in a spicy nightspot somewhere... the kind that young Hollywood frequents. That's what you call a VIP room.
