The LS24 Lounge System reimagines seating on Prada’s rooftop by introducing sculptural, modular furniture that bridges architecture and optical illusion. Designed by Federico Pompignoli of PMP Architecture for the Fondazione Prada Tower in Milan, the system employs flowing carbon-fiber forms with chrome finishes and translucent silicone cushions. Each unit contains a recycled PET core, structured for lightweight strength, while its outlines shift between stool-like perches and concave lounge shapes depending on orientation. Chromelike reflections interact with the mirrored parapet and monochrome optical flooring to heighten spatial perception and blur boundaries.
The design is engineered for flexibility across cultural events, offering both rapid reconfiguration and resilient performance. Pigmented silicone seats glow with integrated LED lighting at night, injecting softness and warmth into the futuristic landscape. Supported by advanced engineering and refined materials, the LS24 Lounge System transforms the rooftop into an experiential canvas—melding material innovation, form exploration, and architectural presence in one dynamic installation.
