Airbnb and TBWA Singapore created this unique zoetrope to simulate traveling across the world in order to promote an Airbnb campaign titled 'A Different Paris.' This particular campaign encourages people to travel to new destinations using Airbnb services, which will allow them to experience the hidden treasures beyond touristy attractions.
The zoetrope is an over-sized 3D contraption that films an "anecdote about seeing more of cities like Paris with help from one's local Airbnb host." The actual device measures almost four meters in diameter and almost 12 meters in circumference. The playful device uses 11,256 parts including 1,476 figurines, which all work together in simulating an authentic cultural experience.
This unique Airbnb campaign projects an envious experience that is sure to encourage people to want to travel and indulge in new destinations and cultures.
