AI-Powered Pathology Tools

Aignostics Launches HETA Clinical for Cancer Tissue Analysis

Aignostics has introduced new AI-powered pathology tools that automate several steps involved in examining cancer tissue samples. Its HETA Clinical platform analyzes digital tissue slides across multiple cancer types, helping researchers identify tumor regions and assess sample quality. Unlike traditional visual evaluations, the system uses cell-level measurements to provide more consistent results while reducing repetitive manual work.

The platform includes four tools that detect slide imperfections, locate tumors, count dividing cells, and measure tumor cellularity, which indicates how much of a tissue sample contains tumor cells. These assessments help laboratories identify samples suitable for molecular testing and prioritize cases requiring attention.

For pathology laboratories, automated evaluations could improve operational efficiency and reduce delays associated with unsuitable samples. Planned integration with existing image management systems may also support broader adoption. HETA Clinical is currently restricted to research use and is not intended for diagnostic procedures.
