The Aerohead II from Giro is a futuristic helmet is designed to optimize the aerodynamics of your head while riding, thus reducing drag and boosting speed. The Aerohead II is the result of a collaboration between Giro and Team Visma/Lease a Bike, a Dutch bicycle racing team that plans to use the helmet in the upcoming season.
The Aerohead II features a long wedge-shaped nose cone and a tapered tail section that flares out to sit flush with the rider’s shoulders. The helmet also has a transparent visor that wraps around the entire underside of the nose, providing a wide field of vision. The helmet is custom-made for each rider, and complies with the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) regulations.
