Horn Speaker Installations

adidas Originals Installed a 10-Foot Custom Speaker System in Soho

adidas Originals partnered with Silence Please to create a large-scale audio installation for the brand's SoHo flagship at 1135 Spring Street in New York. The custom-built speaker system centers on an acoustic horn measuring nearly five feet wide and more than 2.5 feet deep. A 12-inch coaxial driver is positioned within the horn, aligning midrange and high frequencies along the same acoustic axis. The system also incorporates a sealed bass enclosure equipped with dual 21-inch drivers, bringing the total structure to a height of approximately 10 feet.

The installation was accompanied by a limited release of 100 Firebird track jackets produced in collaboration with Silence Please. Each jacket features a large embroidered graphic based on the speaker horn's original CAD model. Arena Embroidery translated the three-dimensional design into a detailed stitch pattern that reproduces the horn's curves, structural ribs, and wireframe geometry.
