Arridex opened the Omnifactory, a Lagos-based additive manufacturing facility designed to produce industrial components and spare parts locally. Unveiled at Invest Lagos 3.0, the multi-technology site features FDM, laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), Cold Spray, polymer LPBF and large-format 3D printing to support a range of industrial manufacturing applications.
The Omnifactory will provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, reverse engineering, prototyping and custom component production for the energy, defense, maritime and aerospace sectors. Formerly known as the RusselSmith Group, Arridex brings experience in additive manufacturing for industrial applications and plans to expand its capabilities further with a larger Mega Omnifactory scheduled to open in early 2027.
For manufacturers and infrastructure operators, the facility offers faster access to locally produced certified parts, helping reduce reliance on imports and shorten repair timelines. The launch also strengthens Nigeria's additive manufacturing ecosystem by bringing multiple industrial 3D printing technologies together under one roof.
