Uber repositioned itself to also become an ad platform, and the company will now be selling ad space inside the Uber Eats app. The ad space will be offered to restaurants attempting to entice customers on the platform. The company stated that its venture into ads will specifically look at relevant ads that can be integrated into the existing app structure.
Uber transitioning its Uber Eats app into an added ad platform will help restaurants find new customers who are already looking at food options in their area. The ads will also help Uber take in more revenue from Uber Eats, as it will newly be able to collect ad money from restaurants who purchase ad space.
