Acne Studios and Russell Westbrook Join and Focus on Denim

Acne Studios and Russell Westbrook work in collaboration after the basketball athlete appeared in the fashion label's SS19 campaign earlier this year. The new collection by the duo highlights denim materials in preparation for the Fall/Winter 2019 season.

Acne Studios' Creative Director Jonny Johansson states that he has "always been interested in the connection between sportswear and ready-to-wear; the dynamic between them, especially. We chose Russell for collaboration as he is an athlete we admire for many reasons.” Westbrook is often recognized for his bold personality and the pure denim capsule was a strategic choice for the duo. Denim grows with whoever wears it and expresses the personality through time. The capsule features outerwear, jeans, shorts, and shirts, in light blue, teal green acid wash denim, blue denim, and black and white options as well.
