Aesop teamed up with perfumer Celine Barel to create an amber fragrance but not one that has been done many times over, and the result is Above Us, Steorra, an eau de parfum that touches on the powerful, wondrous essence of stars.
"We said that Above Us, Steorra is probably the most carnal of all fragrances that Aesop has in the portfolio, because there are aspects of pleasure and sensuality, but not done in an exuberant or maximalist way," said Barel. In the eau de parfum, each note contributes something purposeful: resinous labdanum adds depth, frankincense adds a sense of the mystical, and vanilla adds a smoky, leathery quality.
