A project in Shanghai is well on its way to completion and the end result will contribute to the city's aesthetic which is suspended between architecture and nature. The concept presents a sizable development that will offer space for retail, offices, as well as room for events, galleries, and eateries.
This project is headed by globally renowned architectural practice Heatherwick Studio. The most notable feature of the development is that it will boast a tree-adorned facade. There are a total of 1,000 trees visible on the exterior of the building and they are all placed in a uniform manner that surely draws the eye. This approach is indicative of the architectural movement that seeks to embellish the concrete urban environment with greenery.
