The work of A Kassen, an art collective based in Copenhagen, Denmark, may be discreet, but they are nevertheless incredibly thought-provoking and even mind-boggling at times. The group writes, "The actions may even be so discrete, they don’t get noticed. But if they do get noticed, they contain strong elements of humor and surprise." Relying on details, the pieces currently showcasing at the Gallery Nicolai Wallner may look like a series of empty frames, but there is much more going on than first meets the eyes.

For instance, A Kassen's Permanent Reflection series is comprised of four simple glass frames that look as though they are reflecting the interior of the gallery they are placed in. In reality, A Kassen shot the interior and placed the carefully-crafted images in the frames.
