It's a curious design, that of the 3x3 Mach 9 Pendant Lamp. The fixture comprises a cylindrical ceiling mount, a suspended cylindrical hub and a collection of nine individual components that emit a white glow. Looking like little magnifying glasses, the flat OLED "lightbulbs" slide into the slots around the hub to create a continuous ring of illumination.
Bernd Unrecht named this ceiling light after the three sets of three disks that distribute its bright beams. The slits in which they're secured are broader than the penetrating tabs, enabling the user to shift each radiant round element about. This adaptability affects the size and arrangement of the 3x3 Mach 9 Pendant Lamp's individual sources. The result is the freedom to create different shapes, shadows and spotlighting effects that could enhance the ambiance of a room.
