The 24° Studio 'Daphne' installation is a magical and dreamlike creation. The piece is located in Pygros, Greece, and was designed for the 2012 Santorini Biennale of Arts.
This mystical sculpture brightens up a rather worn-down and plain colored pathway to Kasteli Castle. It's comprised of hundreds of little star shapes, all of which are made from paper. Each star is illuminated from within, creating a mystical atmosphere.
Architizer says that the aim of the piece was to honor "the coexistence of past, present and future." The number of stars at the beginning of the path are few, but as visitors go further in, more and more stars are added until the whole room is covered in them.
This is definitely a beautiful installation to check out if you're in Greece anytime soon.
