Despite being a massive issue worldwide, mental health has only recently become part of the national conversation, and 18percent is an open support group that lets people both get help and learn more about mental health in general. 18percent is a completely free Slack community that connects people who are empathetic and sensitive toward issues of mental health.
In the US, 18 percent of people live with mental health issues; that's nearly one in five people. Recognizing the broad impact that mental illness has on society as a whole, 18percent is devoted to giving people who are suffering an outlet. The peer-to-peer network doesn't offer any professional medical advice, but rather connects users to others in the community who may have gone through the same issues in their own lives.
