According to Bonhams, the rare Hildebrand & Wolfmuller motorcycle will be auctioned off at the Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction in January, 2011. The 1895 model roadster is in excellent condition and it has been wonderfully restored for more than a decade.
This Hildebrand & Wolfmuller vehicle is the first powered two-wheeler and the first bike ever to receive the name "motorcycle." With such a historical value, the 1895 Hildebrand & Wolfmuller is expected to fetch between $130,000 to $150,000.
