To me, comforting nests provide ease on two levels. On one hand, they ease your body and on the other, your mind. The former seems pretty obvious. I mean, with winter around the corner, everyone has hibernation on the brain. The latter, however, may not seem so clear.
Figuratively, people want to have built a nice-sized nest to retire on. If on track, these comforting nests can definitely set your mind at ease.
