There's no doubt that adopting new technology can be difficult for most people, it overwhelms people to the point of frustration. In his condensed technology keynote, Pogue discusses his own experiences with the frustrations of contrived software. He does a comparison between Apple and Microsoft software, where he highlights how Microsoft's contrived methodologies greatly hinder the user experience. The advancements in technology are moving rapidly, but current models for support structures don't properly accommodate the number of users it houses.
