A New Public Art Project Will Be Placed in Waterfront Park

This spring, R&R Studio will install a new public art project in Waterfront Park. According to the Alexandria Living Magazine, the "public art installations began in Waterfront Park in 2019 with 'Mirror Mirror' by New York’s SOFTlab design studio, led by artist and architect Michael Szivos." Bringing art and interaction into the community.

The installation will be a large-scale neon sign featuring three words — "I Love You" — in a cursive-like font. The asphalt area in front of the sign will be painted over in intricate detail to resemble a massive living room rug in a bright pink color. The installation will illuminate the community and bring them together to view the heartfelt message. The installation is set to be open from March 19th to November 6th.
