Totem is a stainless steel furniture collection by Eran that integrates dedicated book-holding slots into sculptural household pieces. Designed by Fernanda Díaz Tijerina, the collection includes two freestanding totems and a coffee table, each fabricated from brushed stainless steel with a matte finish. Rather than treating books as decorative accessories, every piece incorporates a precisely cut slot that supports books in either an open or closed position. The taller totem features a V-shaped opening that cradles an open book, while a second design positions books at an angled display orientation.
The coffee table applies the same concept through a diagonal slot that holds a book at a readable angle while preserving usable tabletop space. Inspired by archaeological totemic sculptures found throughout Mexico, the collection combines furniture and sculptural design while emphasizing accessibility and presentation.
