Iconic Horror Game Remasters

Konami Announced a Full-Scale Remake of 'SILENT HILL 2'

Konami hosted a video presentation where it unveiled its next triple-A video game title, 'SILENT HILL 2.' This is a full-scale remake of the original game which debuted in 2001 for the Playstation 2. The remake features significantly enhanced visuals, highly detailed textures, and up to 8k resolution. Konami describes the game as featuring "chilling visuals and visceral sounds."

The game has high hardware requirements for smooth framerates, recommending a minimum of a GTX 1080 for 30fps at 1080p with medium settings, or a minimum RTX 2080 for 30fps at 1080p with high settings. The RTX 2080 will be capable of playing the game at 1080p with high settings. However, for fans of 4k, or even 8k resolutions, much more powerful hardware will be required.

Konami did not offer an exact release date for SILENT HILL 2, stating only that the project is being worked on and is well into its development cycle, meaning fans will not need to wait too long for the popular horror game.
