Konami Announced Super Bomberman R 2 in Celebration of its 40th Anniversary

'Super Bomberman R 2' is an upcoming title of the popular party battle game series by Konami. It is set to be released on September 12, 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The game has the largest volume of content in the series’ history, according to the developer, with new adventures and game modes for both offline and online play.

One of the new features of Super Bomberman R 2 is a battle mode called Castle, in which players are divided into Attack side and Castle side to battle for the treasure. Players can also create their own stages for Castle mode and share them online with players around the world. Another feature is an enhanced Story Mode that follows the Bomberman brothers and their allies as they fight against the evil Emperor Buggler.

Super Bomberman R 2 also includes the well-known Standard, Grand Prix and Battle 64 modes that offer classic Bomberman gameplay with various rules and options. The game supports up to 64 players online and up to 8 players locally. The game also features a variety of characters and costumes from other Konami franchises, such as Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, Castlevania, and more.
