This Olympic Medal Design is Inspired by Northern Italy

This Olympic medal design has been created by Jaekyu Jung of Weekend-works.com as a conceptual rendering of what the medals for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics could look like. The medals are designed with a textured finish that is mountainous in nature to call to mind the Northern Italy landscape, which includes the Dolormites mountain chains. Each of the medals are extruded and cut as a blank disc before being CNC machined with the various details across the rim, while the hammered finish is done by artisans to ensure the utmost attention to detail.

The Olympic medal design is rounded out with a ribbon crafted with ocean-bound plastic to enhance the conscious nature of the awards.
