Mistovia Renovates an Apartment in Warsaw, Poland

Polish design studio Mistovia renovates an apartment located in Warsaw for an art director who resides with her pet dachshund. The home is in the city's Praga Północ neighborhood and is defined by chunky statement furniture pieces with terrazzo detail and walnut burl. The flat is designed by the minds of Polish architects Jerzy Gieysztor and Jerzy Kumelowski. Overall, it has an eclectic design language and palette that is full of contrasting patterns throughout the space.

The founder of Mistovia speaks about the project, stating "The apartment is based on several dominant 'cubes.' Each of them has a different function, accentuated by various patterns through the use of veneer or colour. A muted base – bright, uniform micro cement flooring and walls with a delicate texture – allowed for the use of geometric forms, rich in interesting structures and bold patterns."
