The Electrolux Adapted Concept Was Developed by Students

The Electrolux Adapted is a chic and slick kitchen appliance hub that was developed by Electrolux in collaboration with fourteen students from the Master's program in Advanced Product Design at Umeå Institute of Design (UID). The brand has had a long-lasting partnership with the educational institution and it presents a great way for engaging emerging designers meaningfully within the industry setting.

The Electrolux Adapted concept was designed for homes where space is at a premium which is something we see more and more in densely populated urban environments. The kitchen appliance hub is verticle and promises to "organize and hold all the important appliances you need on a daily basis." There is an integrated backplate to the hub that "supplies all the modules with water and electricity, in an attempt to support highly customizable arrangments."
