Versant Has Acquired Full Swing to Build an Interactive Platform

Versant Media Group announced a $530 million agreement to acquire Full Swing, bringing the sports technology company into its Digital Platforms and Ventures portfolio. Full Swing's portfolio includes patented golf simulators, launch monitors, virtual greens and baseball training tools, along with an official PGA TOUR simulator license and partnerships with athletes including Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth and Patrick Mahomes.

The acquisition strengthens Versant's existing golf ecosystem, which includes Golf Channel, GolfNow and GolfPass, while creating opportunities to expand Full Swing's interactive platform across training, entertainment and performance analytics. Full Swing CEO Ryan Dotters will join Versant following the transaction's expected close in the second half of 2026.

Versant shows how media companies are expanding beyond content to build integrated sports ecosystems centered on interactive technology and fan engagement.
