Kohler has unveiled an installation called The Flamingo Estate Bathhouse by Kohler during the Milan Design Week. This project reimagines the conventional bathroom as an immersive wellness sanctuary deeply connected to the natural world.
The Flamingo Estate Bathhouse by Kohler is the result of a collaboration with Flamingo Estate founder Richard Christiansen. The installation transforms the act of bathing into a contemplative ritual with architectural elements, wildflower meadows, and artisan-crafted fixtures to slow down the body and quiet the mind. At the heart of the experience stands Kohler’s new Reverie enamelled cast iron bathtub, which is distinguished by a genuine copper metal shell that brings both architectural precision and organic warmth to the space. Beyond the main bathhouse, four unique Pollinator Baths cast in Kohler’s historic foundry serve as small sanctuaries for birds, bees, and other pollinating species.
