The Fielden Hazybower whiskey is a new spirit that builds on the distillery's previous release and showcases the biodiversity of the English countryside.
The spirit follows the Hedgerow Rye Whisky and puts a variety of plants including clover, poppies, thistles and mayweed in the spotlight for whiskey enthusiasts to sip this summer. The spirit is limited to 1,000 individually numbered bottles, comes in with a 46.3% ABV and is crafted with a blend of heritage rye, wheat and barley. A keen attention to historical cultivation methods was also paid during the farming process, while the spirit was matured in reused American oak casks.
Whiskymaker Chico Rosa spoke on the Fielden Hazybower whiskey saying, "While conventional agriculture often suppresses diversity, we aim to champion it here at Fielden. These plants aren’t just beautiful – they contribute to healthy soils, resilient crops and complex, layered flavour. With Hazybower, we are bringing that diversity into your glass via the flavour and texture of this spirit."
